In 2020, the Catholic Project of The Catholic University of America released an award-winning podcast series examining the sexual abuse scandals within the United States Catholic Church.

 

Its fourth episode featured Teresa among survivors describing challenges in returning to the Church and the hope and healing found in faith.

Sacred Music & Composers Who Were Abusers

In 2025, the Diocese of Jefferson City embarked on a period of reflection and discussion about Sacred Music approved in its Catholic liturgies.


Teresa was invited to offer reflections on questions at the heart of their synodal process, including how to grapple with sacred music composed by people who were discovered to be abusers later in life.
